Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday introduced Teacher App 2.0, an updated digital platform aimed at supporting teachers with classroom planning, training resources and administrative tools.
Speaking at the launch event, Pradhan said the upgraded version of the app is designed to simplify teaching workflows while integrating newer technologies, including artificial intelligence-based features. The platform is expected to provide educators with improved access to lesson materials, professional development modules and real-time academic resources.

Officials said the revised application incorporates AI-driven functionalities to assist teachers in content discovery, curriculum alignment and student engagement strategies. The app is intended to serve as a centralized digital support system, particularly as schools increasingly adopt blended and technology-enabled learning models.
The minister also emphasized the broader role of artificial intelligence in India’s education reforms, noting that AI tools are being explored to enhance personalized learning, streamline administrative processes and strengthen teacher capacity-building efforts.
Teacher App 2.0 builds on earlier digital initiatives introduced under the education ministry’s technology integration programs. Authorities said the update reflects ongoing efforts to modernize public education infrastructure and expand digital access for educators across the country.
The ministry has not yet detailed a nationwide rollout timeline, but officials indicated that the app will be made available to teachers through existing digital education platforms.
