What if understanding artificial intelligence took less time than finishing a web series? YUVA AI for All, launched by the Government of India under the IndiaAI Mission, is a free four-and-a-half-hour course that teaches you what AI is, how it works, how to use it in your daily life, and how to use it responsibly. It is open to every Indian citizen, requires no prior knowledge, and ends with an official government certificate. There is no enrollment fee or eligibility filter either. It is probably the most useful thing you can do with a free afternoon this week.

What the course actually is?

YUVA AI for All is a beginner-level course built to teach ordinary people how artificial intelligence works, how to use it in daily life, and how to use it responsibly. It is not a coding course. It requires no technical background whatsoever. The content uses Indian examples, real-life scenarios, and guided demonstrations to make things easy to follow. The course was created by Jaspreet Bindra and Anuj Magazine from AI & Beyond, both well-known names in the AI space in India.

Who can enrol?

Any individual who wants to gain knowledge about AI can apply for this programme. News on Air There is no age limit, no minimum educational qualification, and no prior knowledge required. The course is open to school students, college students, working professionals, teachers, homemakers, farmers, entrepreneurs, and self-learners. If you can read and have access to a phone or laptop with internet, you are eligible.

Where to access it?

The course is available on three platforms:

If you wish to only watch the modules without formal enrolment, the course content is available on the official YouTube channel of the India AI Mission. However, completing the course on FutureSkills Prime or Coursera is mandatory if you want the certificate.

How to register on FutureSkills Prime?

The process is simple and takes about two minutes: Visit FutureSkills Prime, click Enrol, sign up using Gmail, LinkedIn, or create a new account, complete OTP verification and fill in your details, confirm your Indian citizenship, and start learning. Once you are in, you can begin the first module immediately. The modules must be completed in order, as each one unlocks after the previous one is finished.

The six modules

The course is structured into six modules that build on one another:

Module 1: What is Artificial Intelligence covers what AI means, how it has evolved, and where you already encounter it every day.

Module 2: The Technology Behind AI explains how machines learn, what Generative AI is, and introduces the CRAFT prompting formula, a practical method for communicating effectively with AI tools to get accurate, useful results.

Module 3: Using AI to Learn and Create walks through popular AI tools and shows how to use them for writing, summarising, studying, creating content, and analysing information through live demonstrations.

Module 4: Using AI to Think and Plan shows how AI can help you plan projects, organise ideas, solve problems, and make decisions.

Module 5: AI Ethics covers responsible use, the risks of AI, bias in systems, and the FAST framework for safe and fair technology usage.

Module 6: The Future of AI looks at where AI is headed and what it means for careers, industries, and everyday life in India.

Finally, get the certificate

It is mandatory to complete the course 100 percent in order to generate the certificate. The course includes an end-of-course assessment, and learners must complete it along with all module quizzes to download the certificate. Learners will be awarded a co-branded digital certificate upon successful completion.

To download your certificate after completing the course, log in to your account, go to My Dashboard, select My Products, and find the completed course listed there. The certificate can be downloaded as a PDF and added directly to your LinkedIn profile.

The course is available in both English and Hindi, with support for additional Indian languages on the platform so learners can choose what is most comfortable for them.
