Goa’s AI Mission 2027 drew attention from international delegates, defense officials, and technology stakeholders at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, with over 200 visitors engaging with the state’s initiatives and startups.

Goa presented its artificial intelligence initiatives at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, drawing interest from international delegates, defense officials and industry representatives.
The Goa Pavilion, set up by the state’s Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications, highlighted projects under the Goa AI Mission 2027. Officials said more than 200 visitors engaged with the pavilion over six days at Bharat Mandapam.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and IT Minister Rohan Khaunte led the state delegation, accompanied by senior government officials. They met with technology companies, policymakers and representatives from other Indian states.

Delegations from France, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Japan, Cambodia, Canada, the United States, Ghana and Cuba visited the pavilion, according to organizers.
Lal Chand Mangal, director general of the Defence Research and Development Organisation, also visited and held discussions with a Goa-based startup developing hyperspectral imaging technology. The technology has potential applications in defense and homeland security, officials said.
Five Goa startups presented their products at the event, engaging with visitors from sectors including enterprise technology, security, manufacturing and media.
State officials said the interactions and discussions at the summit will inform the next phase of Goa’s AI initiatives.
