It highlighted the government&#8217;s establishment of a <strong>Centre of Excellence in AI for Education at IIT Madras<\/strong> &#8212; a flagship initiative announced in the Union Budget &#8212; as a cornerstone of its implementation plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussion brought together senior voices from India&#8217;s academia and industry, including <strong>Dr. Sridhar Vembu<\/strong> (Founder &amp; CEO, Zoho Corporation), <strong>Prof. Manindra Agrawal<\/strong> (Director, IIT Kanpur), <strong>Prof. V. Kamakoti<\/strong> (Director, IIT Madras), <strong>Rajan Anandan<\/strong> (MD, Peak XV Partners), and <strong>Prof. Sunita Sarawagi<\/strong> (IIT Bombay). The session was moderated by <strong>Prof. Manoj S. Gaur<\/strong>, Director of IIT Jammu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry emphasised that India&#8217;s approach would focus on systemic transformation &#8211; spanning national digital learning platforms, teacher training programmes, curriculum integration, and industry-academia collaboration &#8211; rather than isolated pilots.
