The New Delhi-based firm OptiValue Tek secured the GeM order for its Integrated Counter-UAV Defense System, extending its reach from enterprise technology into national security.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

OptiValue Tek, a digital engineering and AI technology consulting firm, secured a multi-million dollar defense contract through India’s Government e-Marketplace on April 9, the company announced. The order covers advanced sensing and detection technologies integrated into the firm’s Integrated Counter-UAV Defense System (ICUDS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The contract marks the company’s first significant government defense order since entering the sector with the launch of ICUDS. The platform uses a multi-layered sensor fusion architecture that combines RF intelligence, acoustic detection, and electro-optical surveillance to detect, track, and neutralize unmanned aerial threats, including autonomous and RF-silent drones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The system is designed for deployment across the army, naval, and broader defense environments where real-time threat identification is required. It is engineered to counter aerial threats that evade conventional detection systems, according to the company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GeM platform, operated by the Indian government, is the primary procurement channel for central and state government purchases. OptiValue Tek’s contract award through that channel positions the company within India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, which promotes domestic manufacturing and defense technology development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The move comes as India has accelerated indigenous defense procurement following updated defense acquisition procedures that mandate domestic sourcing for a growing list of military equipment categories. Counter-UAV systems have drawn particular attention from Indian defense planners following documented drone incursions near sensitive installations in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OptiValue Tek, which previously focused on enterprise digital transformation, cloud modernization, and cybersecurity services, has not disclosed a delivery timeline or the identities of the end users under the contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
