Anthropic has opened applications for the next cohort of its Fellows Program, a four-month full-time research initiative targeting technical talent across AI safety, security, reinforcement learning, systems engineering, and economics. The cohort begins July 20, 2026, and the application deadline is April 26, according to the company’s official listing on its hiring platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fellows receive a weekly stipend of $3,850 in the United States, \u00a32,310 in the United Kingdom, and CA$4,300 in Canada, along with approximately $15,000 per month in computing funding and access to shared workspaces in Berkeley, California, and London. Remote participation is available for candidates with existing work authorization in the US, UK, or Canada. Anthropic said it is not sponsoring visas for fellows.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anthropic said it will, by default, consider applicants across all workstreams, though candidates may state preferences in the application. Each track involves a project selection and mentor-matching process with researchers across the company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Past fellows have included contributors to published work on mechanistic interpretability, smart contract security, and model specification stress-testing. Anthropic said more than 80% of fellows in earlier cohorts produced a paper or comparable public output. Between 25% and 50% of fellows in previous cohorts received a full-time offer upon completion, the company noted, though it said no offer is guaranteed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That track record distinguishes the Fellows Program from conventional internship structures. The move comes as AI labs have expanded structured research pipelines to accelerate safety work alongside frontier model development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Candidates must be fluent in Python and available for the full four-month commitment. Anthropic said the program is open to applicants who do not meet every listed qualification, and cited research indicating that candidates from underrepresented groups are more likely to self-select out of competitive processes prematurely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications and interviews are handled through Constellation, Anthropic’s official recruiting partner for the program. Clicking through the Greenhouse listing redirects applicants to Constellation’s portal. The Greenhouse form itself does not constitute a completed application, Anthropic said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
