Anthropic’s Free Courses With Certificates

The courses cover everything from using Claude for daily work to building production-grade applications with the API, MCP servers, Claude Code, and cloud deployments on AWS and Google Cloud. No Anthropic account required to enroll.
Anthropic has launched Anthropic Academy, a free learning platform hosted at Anthropic Skilljar, offering 13 courses covering the full range of Claude use cases, from everyday productivity to API development, Model Context Protocol, Claude Code, and enterprise deployment on AWS and Google Cloud. Every course listed is free with completion certificates available for all the courses. No Anthropic account is required to access the material.
The Academy is structured around three broad tracks. The first, aimed at general users, covers AI fluency and practical Claude skills for individual and team productivity. The second targets developers building on top of Claude, covering the Claude API, MCP servers, agent skills, and cloud-specific deployment on Amazon Bedrock and Google Cloud’s Vertex AI. The third focuses on educators, students, and nonprofits, with dedicated courses for each audience on applying AI responsibly within their specific context.
The featured courses at launch are Claude Code in Action, which walks developers through integrating Claude Code into an existing development workflow, and Claude 101, an introductory course on using Claude for everyday work tasks. Both appear on the Anthropic Academy homepage at anthropic.com/learn alongside the full catalogue.
The Academy runs on Skilljar, a third-party learning management platform. Anthropic has published a detailed data and privacy FAQ explaining what Skilljar collects, course progress, lesson completion, quiz scores, and time spent on material. The platform does not require an existing Anthropic or Claude account, making the courses accessible to anyone regardless of whether they currently use Claude.

What is new and what stands out?
Two courses stand out as additions not previously available publicly. The Amazon Bedrock course was originally created as part of a first-of-its-kind accreditation programme for AWS employees. Anthropic has now released the full course so that anyone can follow along. The Claude Code in Action course is a direct response to the rapid adoption of Claude Code, Anthropic’s command-line agentic coding tool, which saw weekly users triple to 1.6 million in the first two months of 2026. Practical, structured training for developers who want to use Claude Code in production workflows had been a notable gap until now.
The Introduction to Agent Skills course is the most technically specific addition in the catalog. It covers how to build and share Skills in Claude Code — reusable markdown instructions that Claude automatically applies to the right tasks — and takes learners through the process of distributing those Skills across teams and troubleshooting common issues. The two MCP courses together form a complete learning path for developers building tools that connect Claude to external services and production environments.
The AI Fluency courses, Foundation, Educators, Students, Nonprofits, and Teaching, form the other significant strand. They are aimed at institutional adoption rather than individual power users: the educators course is explicitly designed for faculty and instructional designers incorporating AI into academic settings, while the nonprofit course addresses the specific tension between AI efficiency gains and mission integrity.
How to access
All courses are available at anthropic.skilljar.com. Enrolment requires creating a free Skilljar account, no Anthropic or Claude subscription is needed. The Academy can also be reached through anthropic.com/learn, which provides an overview of the three learning tracks before linking out to the full catalogue. Certificates are issued by Skilljar upon completion and can be shared directly from the platform.
The launch comes at a moment when Anthropic’s consumer and developer reach is expanding unusually fast. Claude hit the No. 1 spot on Apple’s U.S. App Store free chart over the weekend, with free users up more than 60 percent since January and daily sign-ups tripling since November. A structured, free learning platform gives that growing user base somewhere to go after the first download, and gives enterprises evaluating Claude a documented path to training their teams.
