JobsUPI Raises $250,000 Pre-Seed Round Led by IIMA Ventures

The $250,000 round will fund geographic expansion and product development as JobsUPI pushes voice-enabled hiring into districts and smaller towns across India.

JobsUPI, a voice AI-powered employment platform, has closed a $250,000 pre-seed funding round. IIMA Ventures led the round, with angel investors Alok Bansal, Anshoo Sharma, Amit Jain, and Manoj Sinsinwar participating alongside others.

Founded in 2025 by Shrey Bansal and Shubham Periwal, the startup operates as a multilingual, multimodal hiring platform focused on expanding job access across India. The company describes its model as a “quick commerce for jobs” architecture, targeting a hiring turnaround of 30 minutes through voice-enabled, hyperlocal job matching built on an open network infrastructure.

The capital will go toward product development, distribution scaling, and geographic expansion. JobsUPI currently operates in North India and is extending into additional regions.

IIMA Ventures, established at IIM Ahmedabad in 2002, has backed over 300 startups at the pre-seed and seed stage and has a stated focus on inclusion-oriented technology. The firm’s involvement highlights early institutional interest in voice-first hiring infrastructure targeting non-English-speaking and semi-urban workforce segments.

The startup’s long-term targets include enabling 10 million MSMEs to hire more efficiently and creating access to 100 million jobs. It competes with Apna, Smartstaff, and AamDhanE in the employment technology segment. Its name and framing draw a direct parallel to UPI’s role in payments, positioning the platform as infrastructure for employment rather than a conventional job portal.
