Manchester-based RealityMine took home the Global Ambition Prize at the 2026 Northern Tech Awards, driven by surging demand for privacy-first consumer behavioral data.
RealityMine®, a global leader in privacy-first digital behavioral data, has been named winner of the Global Ambition award at the Northern Tech Awards, recognizing the company as the standout international player among 100 of the UK’s most ambitious tech firms.
The 2026 ceremony was held at the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester, where GP Bullhound brought together 230 of the North’s most prominent founders, CEOs, and business leaders. The win, announced April 27, marks a significant milestone for the Manchester-headquartered company as global demand for accurate consumer behavioral insights continues to accelerate.
Led by CEO Chris Havemann, the company has expanded internationally, including triple-digit gains in the United States, counting hyperscalers such as Google among its clients. Furthermore, RealityMine plans to create upwards of 50 new technology roles in 2026 alone, with a focus on engineering, data science, and product development.
In addition to its commercial momentum, the company has scaled from a Northern UK base into a global partner for technology companies, advertisers, and media organizations worldwide. As a result, the award recognition comes at a particularly pivotal time when AI adoption and privacy regulation are reshaping how brands gather and act on consumer insights.
Hosted by GP Bullhound, the Northern Tech Awards recognize the fastest-growing technology companies across the North of the UK and Europe. RealityMine’s win highlights both its commercial momentum and its growing relevance in a market increasingly shaped by AI, privacy regulation, and walled digital ecosystems.
Moreover, the broader industry context adds weight to the recognition. AI is rapidly transforming how companies approach marketing, media buying, and customer engagement but it is also exposing the limitations of incomplete or modeled datasets. RealityMine’s platform provides a privacy-safe, observed view of digital behavior, enabling organizations to improve advertising performance, understand cross-platform consumer journeys, and train AI systems on more accurate, real-world data.
The North has become one of the most compelling places in the UK to build and scale a technology business. We’ve been able to attract exceptional talent who want to work on global challenges while being part of a region that’s ambitious, collaborative, and scaling fast.
Chris Havemann, CEO, RealityMine.
Beyond hiring, Havemann pointed to a fundamental data gap as the core of RealityMine’s value proposition. There’s a growing gap between what companies think consumers are doing and what they’re actually doing. Our ability to close that gap is critical not just for marketing performance, but for the future of AI itself.
Now in its 13th year, the Northern Tech Awards is the definitive celebration of the fastest-growing and most innovative technology companies across the North of the UK, organized by GP Bullhound. This year, the combined revenue of the Top 100 companies reached £2.4 billion. Other 2026 winners included Portswigger, which took home the Overall Judges’ Award, and StormHarvester for Tech4Good.
RealityMine® is described as a definitive source of truth on consumer behavior across platforms and devices, anchoring digital investment in a true picture of what real people are doing across the app, web, and AI universe. The company is headquartered in Manchester, England, and serves clients globally.
