Lattice Acquires Mandala to Build First AI-Native People Platform
Lattice acquires Mandala's AI coaching technology and founder Tarun Galagali to create the industry's first AI-native people intelligence platform.

Lattice acquires Mandala’s AI coaching technology and founder Tarun Galagali to create the industry’s first AI-native people intelligence platform.
Lattice, the people management platform built around the idea that humans and AI can succeed together, has announced the acquisition of Mandala’s AI-native coaching technology, along with the addition of Mandala’s founder, Tarun Galagali, to its team.
The move positions Lattice as the creator of what it is calling the industry’s first AI-native people intelligence platform a significant step forward in the company’s broader People + AI strategy.
Mandala is an AI-native coaching platform that delivers neuroscience-backed coaching directly within Slack, integrated into the daily flow of work. Prior to the acquisition, Galagali trained thousands of leaders at organisations including UC Berkeley, Ohio State University, Google, Microsoft, Grow Therapy, and Pendo. His methodology was developed in close collaboration with Dr. Michael Platt, Head of Wharton’s Neuroscience Initiative.
Galagali is also the co-author of PAUSE, an upcoming book set for publication in 2027 with Hachette, and previously held leadership roles at Google and Verily (Alphabet’s life sciences division). He helped lead Talkspace’s B2B strategy through its IPO and is a graduate of Harvard Business School and Dartmouth College.
With this acquisition, Lattice says it is now building the industry’s first AI-native people intelligence platform, giving significant momentum to its People + AI strategy.
Galagali will lead the development of new AI-native capabilities within Lattice’s people platform, enabling the company to serve customers at every stage of AI adoption from beginners to advanced users.
The acquisition builds on Lattice’s existing AI Agent, which already aligns teams and coaches managers in real time. The company says it intends to be the first platform to incorporate data for on-demand performance reviews and calibration, helping managers spend less time on administrative tasks and more time leading.

The HR technology industry is undergoing rapid transformation. Gartner projects that by 2030, 50% of current HR activities will be AI-automated or handled by AI agents, fundamentally changing HR’s roles and workflows.
Lattice CEO Sarah Franklin noted the broader significance: the platform aims to go beyond reporting what has already happened, moving toward telling managers what to do next, in real time, based on people performance data connected to business outcomes.
Customers already working with both platforms have responded positively. Representatives from Pendo and Huge both highlighted the value of combining personalised AI coaching with practical, real-time management tools, reducing unnecessary feedback burdens while enabling more meaningful conversations between managers and their teams.
Founded in 2015 and with operations in North America and the UK, Lattice serves nearly 5,000 customers worldwide, including Brilliant Earth, Calm, Figma, Intercom, NPR, and Tide.
