GWC Data.AI Inaugurates Claude Innovation Lab in Hosur With Anthropic

HOSUR, Tamil Nadu, Aug. 20, 2026: GWC Data.AI has inaugurated a Claude Innovation Lab at the Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) IT Park in Hosur, in partnership with Anthropic.
The lab was inaugurated Aug. 19 by Irina Ghose, managing director of Anthropic India, with Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, former director of the ISRO Satellite Centre, joining as chief guest. GWC Data.AI described the facility as Tamil Nadu’s first Claude Innovation Lab.
Built by GWC Data.AI in partnership with Anthropic, the facility is intended to give the company’s teams a dedicated space to design, build and deploy AI agents on Claude. GWC said the lab will work across enterprise workflows and industry-specific applications.
The facility will also provide a working environment for enterprises and government departments to prototype, build and deploy agentic AI solutions using Anthropic’s Claude models, according to United News of India. The report said the lab will cover areas including service automation, intelligence and workflow modernization.

The lab is also expected to host Claude enablement sessions and co-innovation engagements with client and partner engineering teams, according to the same report.
“As an Official Anthropic Claude Preferred Partner, our responsibility is not only to deploy Claude but to build the capability around it,” Naveen Kumar, founder and CEO of GWC Data.AI, said. “The Lab brings enablement and co-innovation into one facility using Anthropic Claude as an enabler.”
Kumar added that teams at the facility would work on real-time business problems and develop solutions using Claude for customers across domains.
GWC has positioned Hosur as an important part of its AI expansion beyond India’s major technology hubs. In its announcement ahead of the opening, the company said the lab reflects its approach of building from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, pointing to the combination of technology, manufacturing and talent in Hosur.
The company has also announced a commitment to create more than 1,000 AI and data jobs in Tamil Nadu, alongside its expansion in the state. GWC linked the jobs commitment to its broader effort to build AI capabilities in India.
The opening comes as companies increasingly move from experimenting with generative AI to developing AI systems for specific business processes. For GWC Data.AI, the Hosur lab brings its work with Anthropic’s Claude models into a dedicated facility focused on enterprise and industry applications.
