NovaOS, the new governed agent platform from OrbitronAI, targets compliance-heavy sectors in aerospace, energy, and government that cannot abandon legacy infrastructure.

OrbitronAI launched NovaOS on April 9, a platform built to deploy and manage AI agents inside legacy enterprise infrastructure used by regulated industries, the company said in an official announcement. The system operates as a governance layer above existing systems, removing the need for infrastructure replacement.

The platform is structured around a six-layer architecture in which every agent action passes through policy enforcement, approval gates, and a complete audit trail before execution. High-risk actions require human sign-off at the platform level, OrbitronAI said.

The bottleneck holding enterprises back from AI is not model quality; it is governance, isolation, and operational control. Regulated industries can now deploy AI agents that are fully auditable, human-supervised, and compliant by design.

Core capabilities include NovaOS Studio, a visual workflow builder with a natural-language Copilot; a Model Context Protocol Gateway that connects to ERP and CRM systems without custom code; and a retrieval-augmented generation layer that indexes internal documents for operational use, the company said. The platform also ships with an agent marketplace and full observability tooling with evidence export for audit purposes.

NovaOS supports managed cloud, bring-your-own-cloud deployments across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, as well as on-premises, air-gapped, and hybrid configurations. Production regions are active in the Middle East, Europe, and North America. All configurations include tenant isolation, data residency controls, and encrypted service communication, OrbitronAI said.

The platform is model-agnostic, meaning organizations are not locked to a single large language model provider. OrbitronAI said it is targeting customers with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 requirements. Arabic natural-language processing support is on the product roadmap for the third quarter of 2026.

NovaOS has not yet made its pricing structures public or identified any specific enterprise clients as of its debut. The company’s initial announcement documentation made no mention of particular revenue goals or external financial backing.

The move comes as enterprise software vendors across the stack race to address the governance gap that has slowed AI adoption in industries subject to strict regulatory oversight. Competitors, including ServiceNow and SAP, have each disclosed their own agentic AI initiatives over the past 12 months.
