PW Skills, Microsoft Launch AI Certification Programs for Job-Ready Learners

The collaboration brings Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, and GitHub into structured courses targeting students and early-career professionals in Tier 2 and Tier 3 India.

PhysicsWallah’s skilling arm, PW Skills, and Microsoft have launched a set of certification programs in Generative AI, Data Analytics, and Digital Marketing, targeting students and early-career professionals across India, the companies confirmed on April 13. 

The programs integrate Microsoft enterprise tools, including Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, GitHub, and Microsoft Office 365, into structured curricula designed to align with workplace skill requirements. Introductory modules will be available free on YouTube; advanced certifications will be offered as paid courses through the PW Skills platform.

A course titled “Copilot for Functional Teams,” covering sales, marketing, and operations workflows, has drawn more than 200,000 views on YouTube since its launch, according to PhysicsWallah. 

Gopal Sharma, chief operating officer at PhysicsWallah, said access to industry-relevant education should not be restricted by geography or background, and that the initiative aims to produce workforce-ready professionals from day one, with an emphasis on Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. Geoff Hirsch, head of channel at Microsoft Global Skilling, said the collaboration addresses the need for scalable, employment-aligned skilling in India and will give learners direct, practical experience with Microsoft AI tools. 

The Data Analytics program will cover SQL, Python, and data visualization, with Power BI and Microsoft Copilot integrated for data-driven decision-making and workflow automation. Learners will also receive exposure to collaborative development environments through GitHub and cloud-based labs.

The Digital Marketing with AI program spans more than 125 hours of training across SEO, performance marketing, and campaign optimization. It incorporates Generative AI and Microsoft Copilot tools to improve marketing productivity.

Learners who complete any program will receive joint certification from PW Skills and Microsoft. PhysicsWallah said it will distribute the courses through its app, offline centers, and YouTube channels to reach learners outside metropolitan areas.

The move comes as India’s edtech sector shifts from test preparation toward outcome-driven skilling. PhysicsWallah, which was listed on Indian exchanges in November 2025, has signaled an accelerated push into the upskilling segment as employer demand for applied, tool-specific skills increases across sectors.
