Virtual Science AI Rolls Out Pharma Competitor Intelligence Platform

The London-based company Virtual Science AI says Medical Competitor AI is the first tool of its kind in life sciences, already in use by top pharma firms ahead of public release.
Virtual Science AI launched Medical Competitor AI on May 15, a platform that tracks competitor medical activity and scientific narratives for pharmaceutical launch teams. The company said the platform is already in use by top pharma companies.
It is designed to help launch teams monitor competitor conference coverage, trade activity, social engagement, posters, and publications, work that the company described as historically manual and frequently skipped altogether.

Medical Competitor AI adds a competitor intelligence layer to Virtual Science AI’s existing medical intelligence platform, which the company said is used by most of the world’s top 20 pharmaceutical companies and a growing number of biotech organizations.
Prior use cases on the platform include integrated medical intelligence, medical science liaison intelligence, advisory board intelligence, social intelligence, and congress intelligence.
The move comes as pharma companies face tightening budgets and headcount reductions. Virtual Science AI said the platform helps teams determine where to direct activity and how to build scientific narratives for drugs approaching launch or entering new indications.
The teams behind the most important launches in pharma have historically had to piece together competitive intelligence manually or simply go without. It gives launch teams real-time visibility into competitor activity, scientific narratives, and community response, so they can make smarter decisions about where to focus and how to shape their story and ultimately get more patients on the right treatments.
Thomas Hughes, Chief Executive Officer of Virtual Science AI.
Virtual Science AI is headquartered in London, with operations in Europe, North America, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. The company confirmed additional application releases are planned, though it did not specify timelines or use cases.
The launch follows Virtual Science AI’s earlier release of Medical Congress AI, a conversational intelligence tool for real-time insights from medical conferences, which the company also described as a first in the life sciences industry.
