Workday Unveils AI Tools for IT Support and Business Travel
Workday says the new Sana AI agents can automate IT support, travel booking, and expense management inside its enterprise platform.

Workday says the new Sana AI agents can automate IT support, travel booking, and expense management inside its enterprise platform.
Workday has introduced two new AI-powered tools designed to simplify everyday work tasks for employees and businesses.
The company announced Sana for IT Service Management (ITSM) and a new Travel Agent during its Sana AI Summit in New York.
Sana for ITSM helps companies automate common IT support tasks such as password resets, software access, onboarding, and employee offboarding. Instead of navigating multiple systems or waiting for support teams, employees can request help directly through Workday’s AI assistant.
The new Travel Agent combines travel booking, approvals, and expense management into a single conversational experience. Employees can plan trips, book flights and hotels, and automatically generate expense reports without switching between apps.
According to Workday, both tools are built directly into its existing HR and finance platform, allowing them to follow the same company policies, approval workflows, and security controls already used by customers.
“Employees spend too much time moving between tools just to complete simple tasks,” said Gerrit Kazmaier, President of Product and Technology at Workday. “AI can remove that friction and make work simpler.”
The company says Sana for ITSM can automatically trigger access changes when employees join, change roles, or leave an organization. It can also route more complex requests to the appropriate teams with relevant employee information attached.
Meanwhile, the Travel Agent is designed to reduce manual expense reporting by automatically capturing receipts, checking company policies, and creating expense entries inside Workday.
Workday currently processes more than 5 million expense reports every month, much of it tied to business travel.
The company plans to roll out Sana for ITSM to early customers in the second half of 2026. The Travel Agent is already available to selected early adopters.
