DronaHQ Launches MCP Server for AI-Generated Applications

The new offering connects Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and VS Code with DronaHQ’s backend infrastructure for authentication, permissions, secrets and deployment.

DronaHQ has launched DronaHQ MCP, a server designed to help developers move applications created with AI coding tools into production without building authentication, permissions, secrets management and deployment infrastructure from scratch.

The Mumbai-based company, which is owned by Deltecs Infotech Pvt. Ltd., said Tuesday that the service connects coding tools including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and VS Code with DronaHQ’s application platform.

AI coding tools can generate application code, but developers still need to configure databases, credentials, user access, authentication, deployment and other production requirements before an application can be used. DronaHQ said its new offering is aimed at addressing that gap.

Through the MCP connection, developers can give coding tools access to more than 400 data sources and systems, including databases, REST APIs, GraphQL and gRPC services, internal applications and third-party platforms. DronaHQ also supports connections to systems behind a VPN through SSH tunneling.

The platform includes a credential vault, allowing database and other system credentials to remain outside the application code. It also provides role-based access controls, single sign-on, version history and audit logs.

Applications can be deployed on DronaHQ’s hosted infrastructure or within a company’s own virtual private cloud or self-hosted environment.

Developers continue to build applications from their existing development environment, while DronaHQ provides the underlying infrastructure and runs the finished application on its web and mobile platform.

The company said the service is primarily intended for internal tools, administration panels, dashboards, CRUD applications and field-force applications, where companies often need to deploy relatively standard applications quickly.

For applications requiring extensive proprietary business logic or public-facing APIs, including agent-based, voice and retrieval applications, DronaHQ recommends that developers continue to use their own backend infrastructure.

“AI has dramatically reduced the time required to build the application itself. The bottleneck is increasingly everything around the application,” said Jinen Dedhia, co-founder of DronaHQ. “Developers shouldn’t have to ask an AI coding agent to reinvent identity, secrets, permissions and deployment every time they build an internal application.”

DronaHQ MCP is available now through Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and VS Code. The company said enterprise customers can request technical walkthroughs through DronaHQ.
