Syed Amir Najme Elevated to Data Science and AI Director at PwC India

Najme, who joined the firm in April 2024 as Associate Director, brings over 15 years of AI and data science experience across finance, retail, pharma, and consulting, with a focus on agentic and generative AI.

Syed Amir Najme has been promoted to Director, Data Science and AI at PwC India, effective April 2026. The elevation follows two years at the firm, where he served as Associate Director in the same practice.

Najme announced the update via LinkedIn, describing the past two years as a period of sustained growth across client engagements, architecture design, and enterprise-scale AI delivery.

Based in Bengaluru, he will lead enterprise AI and data science initiatives with a primary focus on agentic AI, partnering with C-suite executives to drive large-scale digital transformation across PwC India’s client portfolio.

As Associate Director from April 2024, he built and led a team of data scientists and AI engineers, shaped PwC India’s AI roadmap alongside senior leadership, and developed proprietary AI capabilities including reusable accelerators in generative AI and advanced machine learning. He also owned pre-sales functions covering RFP and RFI responses, solution architecture, and executive client presentations.

Najme brings over 15 years of experience across finance, retail, CPG, pharma, logistics, and consulting. Before joining PwC, he held AI and data science roles at Nagarro, Barclays, and dunnhumby, leading programs in conversational AI, personalization, forecasting, and customer engagement.
