New York-based AI startup Vêtir has closed the first tranche of its Series A round, raising $5.5 million at a $150 million valuation, the company announced May 21. The round was led by a consortium of technology and luxury-focused family offices, including Laidlaw & Company, with the company keeping a portion of the allocation open for additional strategic investors.

The platform operates as an AI-powered wardrobe operating system, combining what clients own, what they want, and how they live into a persistent layer of personalization that extends beyond the point of sale. Capabilities include image and video search, photorealistic try-on, and instant closet uploads, all built into proprietary technology the company describes as continuously learning from a client’s wardrobe, calendar, travel patterns, and purchase behavior.

On the enterprise side, the company is developing a CRM-like layer for private stylists and luxury clienteling teams, designed to bring structure and continuity to what has historically been a fragmented, relationship-driven market.

The company reported 200% month-over-month organic user growth over the past year, alongside more than 3,500% expansion in B2B clients, ninefold year-over-year revenue growth, and an average order value exceeding $2,500.

Alongside the funding, Vêtir announced several senior appointments. Jemma Plaue, formerly of Mytheresa, has joined as SVP of global styling and strategy. Stephanie Horton, senior director of global commerce at Google, and Nina Garcia, editor-in-chief of ELLE and a judge on Project Runway, have joined the advisory board.

The new capital will support further development of Vêtir’s personalization engine, international expansion, and deeper integrations with luxury fashion and retail partners.
